January is Love your liver month in the UK; the aim of which is to raise awareness your liver and how you best help it function. The website for the campaign lists three steps on how to acheive this and one important step is alcohol intake; we should be drinking no more than 14 units of alcohol per week. mingle Trend asked the Brits whether they thought they were drinking too much.

16% of Brits admit their alcohol intake is far too high; more men (20%) than women (13%) are drinking too much. 60% of women in the UK consider their alcohol consumption to be moderate, compared to 63% of men. The 50-59 years are the agr-group who are msot likely to drink the most alcohol; 19% say they would estimate their intake is too high. interestingly, 27% of both 18-19 years and 40-49 years do not drink alcohol.
